Speyside Leisure Centre, Aviemore

A major new community and resort leisure pool and health and fitness centre, which forms an integral part of Phase 1 of the major regeneration master plan for the existing Aviemore Resort.  The new Speyside Leisure Centre provides a five lane, 25m x 10.5m pool that caters for a variety of leisure uses including leisure and competitive swimming, infants’ pool, wave machine with flume chute, a gently graded beach area to allow disabled and wheelchair access to the full pool facilities, village changing for the pool, dry changing for the fitness gym and outdoor pursuits, spa jacuzzi, steam and sauna rooms and a health and beauty spa.  A large reception area, which doubled as a leisure play area, was also incorporated, linking to a café with poolside and Cairngorm Valley views.   Facilities provided:
