
The proposals form part of a master-planned regeneration of one of the last large areas of undeveloped ground in the Old Town of Edinburgh. The proposals have received Planning Consent subject to Section 75 Agreements for a change of use of the L-shaped west block bounding North Gray’s Close from residential to 102 studio and cluster flat student accommodation with the retention of the commercial/retail units at ground floor.
The site on a steeply sloping site re-opens historic pedestrian links between Jeffrey Street and the Old Town.
Studios range from standard 18-20m² units to large studios with mezzanines for two persons. All are self-contained with their own kitchens. The units will be offered for vacation lets during non-term times.
