An extension to provide three new letting bedrooms with ensuites, laundry, office, new kitchen and owners’ lounge for this guest house in Edinburgh’s Pilrig Street.

An unused basement has been cleverly converted by forming a lightwell in the front garden and the erection of a contemporary styled two storey extension to the rear.

The guest house remained open during the entire construction period due to careful programming of the works.
