
New regional recycling facility at Stobhill for Midlothian Council, designed to meet the Government’s National Guidelines for Recycling.
The project consisted of two main parts with a public civic amenity facility incorporating recycling bays for each designated material. The remainder of the site comprises of a recycled goods holding station for temporary storage of all of Midlothian Council’s kerbside collections prior to onward shipment to accredited recycling centres.
The site works also included site security fencing, gates, extensive landscaping in native species and a 5m high acoustic bunding with baffle fencing on top as well as a small office/control centre.
